Yolo
is a play and workshop specially written for year 9 and 10 students including those from military families. It was originally commissioned by North Yorkshire County Council but has since toured the UK and Germany. The
central story is based around a teenage daughter and the relationship with her
father, a serving army officer. The play explores the pressures and risks faced by modern teenagers, examining how seemingly casual actions and choices can have huge repercussions on our lives. It covers legal highs, drinking,
online safety and sexting/bullying among other topics.
