Forces Employment Charity: Supporting military children and young people
Posted in News
The Forces Employment Charity’s new partnership with the Naval Children’s Charity (NCC) supports naval military children’s career aspirations. This collaboration includes the Empowerment Voyages by the Tall Ships Youth Trust, which offers team-building activities. Advisors engaged with ten naval children to enhance their self-esteem and encourage them to consider their future careers.
Isabel Dundar, from May’s Empowerment Voyage, reflected on “how hard life has been with military parents” but was happy to learn of the support available to military children like herself. Hear what these young people said about the voyage!
You can also tune in to hear from Ruby Taylor, an extraordinary 18-year-old who has been a military child since the age of 5. Despite attending six different schools, Ruby’s resilience shines through with the support of her advisor, Kelly Wales, Education and Skills Liaison at the Forces Employment Charity.
Listen here.
We encourage those seeking employment support for their children to register with the Forces Employment Charity.
