Thriving Lives Toolkit training pilot

The Thriving Lives toolkit, published in October 2020, has already been downloaded 223 times and shared with over 100 delegates at the Yorkshire and NE Hub conference in November. In addition to the planned series of school conferences over the next few months, the Alliance central team has been busy making sure that Uni Connect teams across England will be equipped to support schools to use the toolkit.
The Southern Universities Network (SUN) Uni Connect partnership team took part in the first part of the pilot programme this week.
The session introduced them to the SCiP Alliance and the toolkit, explained the evidence base and gave participants a chance to understand something of the context for Service children and to explore the diversity of school contexts they will be working with.
This programme will now be developed into a longer session, with important enhancements such as showcasing Service children's voices within the training. The SCiP Alliance is very grateful to the Southern Universities Network for their input in the pilot and to the six Uni Connect partnerships who are supporting the development of the toolkit they originally funded.
