The Christmas market was in full swing outside and the opportunity to meet colleagues new and old in person was a rare treat in November 2021. We were delighted to welcome 69 delegates from universities (widening participation, research and student unions), colleges, schools, local authorities, the MoD and military charities to The Studio in central Birmingham in November to explore evidence and opportunities together, make connections and share ideas and initiatives.  The highlight of the day was the skilled chairing by Lizzie Rodulson, who took us from thought provoking keynotes through a fascinating panel discussion and into an afternoon of practice workshops.
