SCiP Alliance researchers' article published in British Education Studies Association journal
Posted in News
Judith McCullouch, SCiP Alliance Principal Investigator, Michael Hall, SCiP Alliance Research Development Officer and Sophie Ellis from the University of Winchester, have had an article published by Educationalfutures, the journal of the British Education Studies Association. The paper explores the impact of identity and agency on educational progression. Accordingly, it presents the consequences for educators in engaging with the complex and distinctive realities and identities of Service children. It challenges stereotypes about Service children themselves and their perceived disadvantage.
The editorial notes:
Our first article, which caused a lot of excitement at the conference in June, is by Judith McCullouch of Winchester University and looks at the education of children of military families, an under reported area clearly worthy of investigation.
