Festival of Friends project stimulates and celebrates support for Service children in Hampshire schools

The University of Winchester, in partnership with Hampshire County Council, have developed a new model of collaborative partnership to support professionals working with Service children across Hampshire.
The Festival of Friends was a year long project jointly developed and run by Hampshire County Council and the University of Winchester's Widening Participation team, funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund. The project created a structured network to coordinate and support professionals in schools across the county, linking them with local authority and university staff to work on Hampshire's provision for Service children.
The project culminated in an awards scheme and celebration event at the University of Winchester to showcase school projects welcoming and integrating Service children and their families.
