Wellington Academy Evaluation Project
A three-year project to evaluate the Service children support at Wellington Academy. Current provision will be explored against the 7 principles of the SCiP Alliance toolkit framework, with particular focus on student outcomes, wellbeing and transition. The research will provide recommendations to the Academy to enhance their approach to supporting the transition of Service children.
Aims:
- How does the transition process support Service students’ academic outcomes?
- How does the transition process support Service students’ sense of belonging?
- How does the transition process mitigate the impacts of transition?
SCiP Alliance Strategy:
- Impact 1: Embed the Thriving Lives Toolkit suite as the quality standard for evidence-based practice in schools.
Partners: The project is being funded by Wellington College and led by Wellington Academy. Research expertise is being delivered by Dr Michael Hall, Senior Lecturer, University of Winchester.
