HEON Partnership, Uni Connect Programme
The Higher Education Outreach Network (HEON) is a partnership working to increase the number young people from underrepresented backgrounds entering higher education as part of the Uni Connect Programme, funded by the Office for Students. Since January 2017, HEON has worked with a range of partners to deliver targeted collaborative outreach to young people aged 13 - 19 in 11 specific wards within Surrey and North East Hampshire. HEON’s target wards have been identified as areas where the proportion of young people progressing to HE is low overall, and lower than expected given their GCSE attainment levels.
